Using Art to do my part

From 29th to 31st January 2025, the consortium partners gathered in S. Mamede de Infesta, Portugal, to participate in the Training of Trainers session for the smART project.

Over the course of three engaging days, participants immersed themselves in a series of workshops, studies, and collaborative discussions aimed at developing a unified methodology for the smART project.

This methodology is designed to facilitate effective artistic workshops, guiding participants in the nuanced exploration of constitutional themes through the medium of art. Moreover, it provides partner organisations with an innovative, standardised approach to implementing project activities across all participating countries.

The warm welcome extended to us by our partner, Escola de Segunda Oportunidade de Matosinhos, was a true reflection of its unwavering commitment to inclusivity. Throughout the event, participants had the privilege of engaging with both educators and students, taking part in a diverse array of activities organised by the institution.

Reflecting on the experience, participants unanimously recognised the training as a profound and enriching opportunity. This fruitful exchange has resulted in the development of an innovative methodology that will not only advance the smART project but also serve as a valuable tool for similar initiatives in the future.

The consortium partners are now prepared to integrate their newly acquired knowledge into forthcoming artistic initiatives, confident in their ability to inspire and educate through the transformative power of art.

This meeting stands as a testament to the spirit of collaboration that drives the smART project forward.
